Position:  Art & Community Coach/Direct Support Professional Salary: $40,352 yearly Schedule:      Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday 9AM-5:30PM (Hours may vary)  Location:  Walton, New York   Responsibilities:  * To provide person-centered support by fostering creativity, inclusion, and self-expression through participation in art studio activities and community art events.   Job Duties:  * Teach and support people utilizing individualized teaching techniques.   * Advocate with people to live their best life (making choices, enhancing confidence & assertiveness) * Work cooperatively with other staff, artists, individual team members, and community partners to deliver a cohesive, person-centered program. * Work as a Direct Support Professional as needed.    Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Creative problem-solving mindset. * Ability to make good decisions quickly, based on analysis, experience, and judgment. * Organized, solution-oriented, and adaptable. * Competent in active listening, teaching, curriculum development, task analysis, behavior management, person-centered planning, and advocacy. * Professional written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Valid NYS Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.. * CPR & First Aid preferred (training available for the right candidate).   Why You’ll Love Working Here * Make a difference every single day – no two days are the same! * Collaborate with talented, passionate people – your contributions make a real difference. * Grow and shine – we provide hands-on training, coaching, and opportunities to advance. * Make a meaningful impact – help people live their best lives.           Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer female/minority/disability/vet/ www.delarc.org
