Key Responsibilities: - Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and cognitive abilities - Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and emotional well-being - Assess residents’ needs and preferences to develop personalized activity plans - Collaborate with staff and family members to ensure activities support residents’ overall care plans - Monitor and document residents’ participation and progress in activities - Maintain a safe and clean activity space, ensuring all equipment and materials are properly used and stored Skills and Qualifications: - Training in recreational therapy, dementia care, or a related field - Prior experience working with seniors, especially in memory care or dementia settings - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging activities - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards residents - Flexibility to adapt activities to meet individual needs and preferences At Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay, we pride ourselves on fostering a warm, welcoming community where staff are valued and residents thrive.
