This dual-role position combines the responsibilities of a Caregiver and a Life Enrichment Coordinator to provide comprehensive, resident-centered support. The individual assists with personal care, medication reminders, and daily living needs while also planning and implementing engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and intellectual well-being. The role is essential in ensuring residents receive quality care and meaningful enrichment in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. ________________________________________ Primary Duties & Responsibilities Caregiver Responsibilities • Provide personal care services in accordance with resident Service Plans. • Assist with medication reminders and treatments as permitted by applicable regulations. • Respond promptly to emergency call systems and follow established infection control procedures. • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, including light housekeeping duties. • Observe, monitor, and document changes in residents’ health status, preferences, or needs. • Report any suspected or actual abuse, neglect, or exploitation immediately to the appropriate supervisor. Life Enrichment Responsibilities • Develop and implement daily activity programs that support residents’ social, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual well-being. • Plan and facilitate events, outings, games, and exercise programs, coordinate visits from community groups and entertainers. • Encourage resident participation while ensuring activities are conducted safely and respectfully. • Maintain activity areas, supplies, and equipment in compliance with community standards. • Communicate with residents and families to assess satisfaction with life enrichment programming. • Transport residents to and from activities as required. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Physical Requirements • Must be at least 18 years of age and meet all required in-service training and regulatory requirements. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. • Creative, resourceful, and enthusiastic, with a positive and resident-focused attitude. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods as needed. • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. ________________________________________ Education & Experience • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Prior experience working with seniors and performing caregiving duties preferred. • Experience planning and leading social, recreational, or enrichment programs preferred.
