Description POSITION SUMMARY The Account Executive II independently manages a book of client accounts, providing oversight and strategic direction in coordination with the Sales Executive and Sales Manager. This position applies advanced knowledge of insurance products and agency practices to service accounts, manage renewals, resolve claims issues, and identify growth opportunities. The Account Executive II leads client relationship management to ensure retention and deliver a “best of practice” client experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Account Management Independently manage assigned accounts to meet client needs and retention goals. Provide skilled advice on policy placement and recommend changes for client benefit. Lead premium development and establish payment methods tailored to client needs. Resolve client inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner. Confer with clients and carriers on claims handling; aid in claims disputes as requested. Client Support & Leadership Serve as a resource and mentor to Account Executive I and support staff. Ensure accurate, timely data entry into the agency’s management system. Provide cross-coverage for other lines of insurance as required. New Business Development Independently prepare and submit applications and underwriting data. Meet with prospective clients to assess insurance needs. Confidently explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of policies to promote sales. Policy Renewals Conduct thorough reviews of client risk exposure and adjust coverage as necessary. Lead renewal process to ensure timely and accurate continuation. Professional Growth & Representation Maintain required CEC credits and stay current on industry trends. Attend advanced training and seminars to enhance product knowledge and client service. Ensure compliance with all agency and bank policies and procedures. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience Two (2) plus of related experience in insurance or client services Property/Casualty license required or ability to obtain within 90 days. Life/Health license preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days.
