JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

  • Assumes responsibility for bulk manufacturing, testing, documentation, analytical procedures, and product flow to produce life science (Molecular Biology, Cell biology, Immunology, Biochemicals and Chemicals production) products in strict adherence to regulations and procedures.
  • Analyze, organize and compile data and experiment results in detailed reports, perform at a standard that allows for minimum errors, prepare and clean up equipment used in experiments and tests.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of lab equipment to keep it operating correctly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
  • Works within all safety guidelines and rules designated by department, company, and corporate policies.
  • Stay attuned to advancements in lab techniques and technology.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and hazardous events.
  • Assist in the overall maintenance of the lab through inventory management.

Accountability:

  • Accuracy of testing and manufacturing records.
  • Compliance with appropriate manufacturing, testing and investigation tasks according to agreed schedules.
  • Completion of assigned manufacturing, testing and investigation tasks according to agreed schedules.
  • Conformance to specification of assigned manufactured products.
  • Adheres to documented procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Biology or above.
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Organized and initiative-taking.
  • Strong understanding of scientific principles and lab techniques.
  • Proficient technical understanding of lab tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong scenes of responsibility
  • Accurate and meticulous
  • Knowledge of lab safety protocols and procedures.

PRIMARY FUNCTION (WHY DOES THE ROLE EXISTS?):

The Life Science Lab Technician (Technical Manufacturing) performs a wide variety of routine production tasks in Technical Manufacturing and must be capable of producing large-scale components for MP Bio life science products. The Lab Technician must be capable of following work instructions and finish assigned tasks on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology, attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
