Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will lead the marketing of ABB’s Lifecycle, Digital, and Energy Efficiency solutions, strategically targeting key market segments. You’ll drive growth through Install Base Penetration, aligning with evolving market demands and the Motion Service Division’s business objectives. Each day brings the opportunity to shape the long-term profitability of your portfolio, while showcasing your expertise across the entire offer lifecycle—from development and launch to go-to-market strategy, ongoing maintenance, pricing, and performance. Along the way, you’ll collaborate closely with the sales team, contributing to business success through insight-driven support and execution.

This role is contributing to the Motion Service Business Area in Australia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading market intelligence analysis and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, in relation to competitors and emerging market opportunities.
  • Owning the technical and market specifications for the offer, and developing a business plan that supports sustainable growth. This includes conducting customer needs and value analysis, planning a roadmap to maximize value creation, and tracking portfolio performance.
  • Overseeing the offer lifecycle and managing Digital & Energy Efficiency initiatives by analyzing the install base and existing offerings, defining and monitoring performance metrics, and making strategic decisions on offer obsolescence and end-of-life to meet current and future market requirements, while optimizing profitability.
  • Setting targets, monitoring offering costs, and providing inputs to operational functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
  • Collaborating closely with global teams to manage services and tools required to support the given portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in product and service sales development, working with end customers, OEMs, EPCs, and channel partners; relevant industry exposure in MV/LV Drives & Motors preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of energy efficiency products and electric motor driven systems; excellent troubleshooting skills and self-sufficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across all levels, internally and within customer organizations.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and plan work to meet customer requirements within agreed timeframes.
  • Experienced in portfolio management, general sales practices, data management, and process optimization.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), technical support, and customer service delivery.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; growth mindset with a strong say-do ratio and willingness to travel regularly
  • Knowledge of IoT systems/devices and confident public speaking/presentation abilities.
