Job Description The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all guests and colleagues using the pool facilities at Raffles & Fairmont Doha. The role requires constant vigilance, excellent swimming ability, and a high standard of guest service in line with the standards of Raffles & Fairmont brands. Key Responsibilities Maintain continuous surveillance of all pool areas to prevent accidents and injuries Enforce hotel pool rules in a professional and courteous manner Respond immediately and effectively to emergency situations, including water rescues and first aid Administer CPR, first aid, or emergency care when required and coordinate with medical services if necessary Conduct routine safety checks of pool areas, and lifesaving equipment Provide a warm, welcoming, and attentive service to all guests, ensuring a luxury guest experience Assist guests with poolside needs, including towel distribution, sunbed arrangement, and general inquiries Promote a family-friendly, safe, and relaxing environment for guests of all ages Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool, and lifeguard stations Ensure lifesaving equipment is functional and properly positioned at all times Record and report incidents, accidents, and maintenance issues accurately and promptly Support pool and recreation operations during events and peak periods Adhere strictly to hotel policies, health & safety regulations, and Qatar local authority guidelines Follow Accor brand standards, SOPs, and emergency action plans at all times Participate in regular training, drills, and performance evaluations Qualifications Valid Lifeguard Certification (internationally recognized) Valid CPR, AED, and First Aid certification Previous lifeguard experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or beach club preferred Strong swimming skills and physical fitness Knowledge of pool safety regulations and emergency response procedures Fluency in English language; Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage Job-Category: Wellness & Recreation Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time
