Job Responsibilities: Maintain professional knowledge by having current lifeguard, CPR, basic life support, and AED certifications and regular in-service training. Provides guests with a safe swimming facility by maintaining your zone of protection, making save, and making safety checks as necessary. Serve guests by checking them into the facility and answering questions Maintains professional skills by swimming on a regular basis and working on skills with other lifeguards. Maintains operations by following defined procedures and guidelines, filling out reports, and acting on the situation if there is an incident. Maintains pool appearance by vacuuming the pool, cleaning pool tiles, and keeping the pool deck clean. Maintains lake appearance by raking the beach, setting up/taking down chairs and umbrellas, cleaning inflatables and boats, and inspecting equipment for safety. Maintains appearance of the facilities by cleaning bathrooms, pool deck, rugs, sauna room, beach area, and washing towels. Maintains work area by picking up trash and shoveling snow. Assist guests with launching boats from the beach and provide related information to guests. Provide daily startup and shutdown of the pool and lake facilities. Enforce established guidelines for guest safety and experience. Maintains appearance of areas by raking beach, mowing grass, tending to the landscaping, and keeping the workplace clean and tidy.
