Lifeguard (American Red Cross Certified) — Temporary Shifts Company: British Swim School of Torrance Location: Hermosa Beach, CA Dates needed: Fri, Oct 4 & Tue, Oct 8 (3-4 hours both days) Job type: Temporary / Part-time (2 single-day shifts) Pay: $25/hr Why we’re hiring We run lessons year-round and require a certified lifeguard on deck for safety. We need reliable coverage for two dates. If you’re solid on skills, show up on time, and communicate like a pro, we want you. Shift details Oct 4 (Sat): ≈ 9:15am - 1:00pm Oct 8 (Wed): ≈ 3:30–7:00 PM Location: Indoor pool in Hermosa Beach, CA (exact address provided upon hire) On-deck only (no teaching). What you’ll do Maintain surveillance of swimmers and pool deck during lessons Enforce pool safety rules and our facility’s policies Respond to incidents and perform rescues/first aid as trained Complete brief incident/near-miss notes if needed Must-have qualifications American Red Cross Lifeguarding (current) with CPR/AED and First Aid Able to pass standard skills on request (e.g., deep-water retrieval/brick carry, efficient entries) Strong communication, professional demeanor, and punctuality Minimum age 18 preferred (tell it like it is: this is a kid-focused program with parents on deck—professionalism matters) What we provide Clear deck expectations and quick site orientation All safety gear on site How to apply Apply via Indeed with your resume and ARC certification expiration dates.
