We aim to have a leadership and workforce that is reflective of the communities we work in partnership with.   Compensation $19.50/hour   Schedule Evening and weekend availability required; hours to be determined based on pool schedule and availability   Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities: * Responsibility for the rescue and care of accident victims * Comply with and enforce all policies, procedures and regulations set by the supervisor and the facility. * Responsibly prevent accidents, minimize or eliminate hazardous conditions, inspect the facility on a daily schedule, and report unsafe conditions and equipment to the supervisor.  Respond quickly to all emergency situations in the water or on surrounding areas.   Effectively administer any first aid needed by a victim in an accident. * Effectively educate patrons and inform them of the purpose and need for rules and regulations.  Also inform other lifeguards and facility staff when more help or equipment is needed.  * Attend all staff meetings and in-service training.  Accurately complete all records and reports as required. * Other duties as assigned   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Must have excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented * Ability to work independently and be an enthusiastic team player * Available to work evening and weekend hours * Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts   Qualifications * Current certification in the following:  American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, American Red Cross Community First Aid and Safety, American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.  Leadership skills.  * Optional certifications:  American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator.   An EEO/AA Agency We want to emphasize that the preferred qualifications are not required and that we are committed to helping our future colleagues develop these preferred skills. Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is ensuring the safety of all pool patrons through accident prevention, rapid emergency response, and providing necessary care for accident victims.
