In return, we offer flexible hours, free facility membership, and the chance to build valuable leadership and life skills—all while making a real impact.   Kick start a career in Aquatics by becoming a Y Lifeguard Casual role up to 30 hours per week Help create a fun, safe and enjoyable environment for our patrons    Our Lifeguards at Ku-ring-gai Fitness & Aquatic Centre are a passionate team that are focused on making sure our patrons are safe at all times.  The facilities include an indoor heated leisure pool, water playground, 25m indoor pool and a 50m outdoor pool.    About the role Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, you will work a flexible roster across 7 days.  The ours of operation are 5.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday but the greatest need is during the day Monday to Friday.  The role will see you actively supervise the pool and surrounding areas, ensuring the environment is safe, clean and enjoyable for all our members and visitors within our centre.  You will be responsible for identifying any safety issues and will manage and respond to emergency incidents and related reporting.    About you You are a self-motivated and customer service focussed individual. Your superior communication and observation skills, along with your ability to keep calm and act quickly in an emergency situation will see you excel in this role!   To secure the role you will require the following: Current First Aid certificate Current CPR certificate Pool Lifeguard Licence Previous experience working at an Aquatic facility    Who What Y?   The Y NSW is a profit-for-purpose organisation focused on healthy living, social impact, and empowering young people.
