LIFEGUARDS & SWIM TEACHERS - Full Time - Part Time & Casual Roles available

As a Lifeguard you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all patrons and play a key part in the daily operations of our pools.

The role includes the following:

• Watches over patrons to ensure they are safe
• Identifies potential threats to safety
• Rescues patrons in danger of drowning or in need of first aid
• Assists with swimming lessons
• Enforces the facility’s rules
• Maintains a level of physical competence to carry out the job
• Inspects facility and immediately reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor
• Educate the public on the Keep Watch Policy.
• Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all aquatic facility patrons.
• Respond promptly to emergencies as they arise.
• Report significant incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify and report risks within Council premises.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility and aquatic areas.
• Carry out routine water testing.
• Carry out duties / tasks as directed.
• Carry out other duties as required
• Flexibility to work varies shifts which include early morning and evening, weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

Lifeguards must possess the following certificates:

• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• CPR Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• Working with Children Blue Card

Desirable

• Swim Teachers Qualification or a willingness to get

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift
• Morning shift
• Public holidays
• Rotating roster
• Weekend availability

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $31.00 – $32.00 per hour
