We are looking for a friendly, passionate and organized individual to lead our Lifestyle/Activities team!
If you are bright and energetic and enjoy working in a highly rewarding position, this is an ideal role for you. The right candidate will have need previous experience working as an activities co-ordinator and working closely with elderly residents - finding out what matters to them and organising the activities that inspire and motivate them. At Smallbrook, we are committed to providing the highest quality person-centred care focused on helping residents remain active, happy and able lead their fullest life.
This is a Lead role, which involves planning and executing a variety of daily activities, producing bi-monthly newsletters, organizing events and external outings. You will work within multidisciplinary team within the Home. Our aim is to safely promote and encourage better lifestyle choices so our residents can be more engaged, happier and feel fulfilled.
Experience in a similar role is vital.
34hr permanent position, 4 days a week, hours can be discussed, alternate weekend working
Basic pay is £16.00ph, +£1.50ph weekend enhancement and any OT
*What does the role involve?
- To plan and execute daily activities for our residents with person-centred approach, with the support of the Lifestyle/Activities Assistant.
- Encourage participants to make choices for themselves and develop positive relationships with family and staff
- Create and plan external and internal events, involving the local community
- Create interesting bi-monthly newsletter and update activities calendar (IT skills)
- Ensure that daily record of activities and interaction is maintained on resident’s care plan
- Working as a part of a larger team, liaising with colleagues from all disciplinaries
- Applicants should have some prior experience of working in the same or a similar capacity
