About the opportunity As the Lifestyle Assistant, you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team and play a pivotal part in the planning and implementing of wellbeing activities for the residents of Mercy Place Parkville. Assist with the delivery of recreational and social programs that enhance residents’ wellbeing. Support the Lifestyle Coordinator with program planning and orientation of new team members. Work individually with residents in line with their lifestyle plans and document progress accurately. Ensure programs meet residents’ needs and accreditation standards. Engage residents in meaningful activities and encourage community involvement. Demonstrate understanding of cognitive, social and spiritual needs of residents and their families. To thrive in this role, you will have: Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills, with the ability to be flexible, to adapt well to change and be able to adeptly problem solve. Preferable memory support unit experience and understanding of the lifestyle needs of residents who are cognitively impaired. A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective resident emotional and spiritual care and management. The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
