Schedule & Compensation: PRN Position Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:30am to 6pm (as needed) $19.50/hour Job Description Assists the Activities Coordinator with the development and execution of the activity calendars that supports all aspects of Well-Being: physical, social, emotional, vocational, intellectual, environmental, and spiritual. Oversees residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, vocational, emotional and intellectual aspects of residents by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of residents. Provides set-up and assistance with daily activities to include crafts programs, exercise, musical programs, sensory stimulation, reminiscence projects, religious events, movies, games, trivia, parties, etc., as necessary. Makes routine 1:1 visits with residents, especially those who choose to engage in self-directed leisure pursuits or to remain in their room. Maintains required documentation of resident response and performance during recreational activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one (1) year of Therapeutic Recreation or in human services field, preferred (through volunteer work, internship, or paid experience); experience with geriatric residents in a long-term care setting preferred.
