Lift Fitter (Year-Round) Resorts: Perisher Employment Type: Perisher – Full Time Permanent Role Applications Open: 1st December 2025 Applications Close: 11th January 2026 Perisher is seeking experienced, trade-qualified Lift Fitters to join our Lift Maintenance team on a full-time permanent contract, commencing in the New Year. This role is ideal for mechanically minded trades professionals who enjoy problem-solving, working outdoors, and maintaining complex mechanical systems in an alpine environment. About the Role As a Lift Fitter, you will support the maintenance and safe operation of Perisher’s extensive lift network, including fixed grip and detachable chairlifts, surface lifts, conveyors, and associated mechanical systems. Working closely with the Lift Maintenance Manager’s and broader maintenance team, you will perform scheduled servicing, fault diagnostics, mechanical repairs, component replacements, and system testing to ensure lift reliability and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, adherence to safe work practices, and the ability to work efficiently in variable weather conditions, including during peak winter operations. Lift Fitters are employed under the Perisher Trades Enterprise Agreement 2023, with a base hourly rate of $42.31 - $51.56 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience. What We’re Looking For A recognised Mechanical Trade qualification (Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent) Minimum 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in mechanical maintenance or fitting roles Demonstrated experience working at heights and following safe work procedures Strong mechanical diagnostics skills and ability to identify and resolve faults Current Driver’s Licence Ability to work in an alpine environment and respond to operational requirements during winter.
