Job Details Job Location: FLAGSTAFF, AZ Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: Undisclosed Description (FT Year Round Benefited Position) The Lift Maintenance Technician will participate/conduct inspections, testing, monitoring, preventative and reactive maintenance of ski lift machinery and equipment to ensure safe lift operation at all times. Applicants should have >1 year(s) of experience in aerial tramway maintenance, experience in other relevant trades may be considered. Qualifications Essential Functions: Maintain an acute safety conscious mindset as well as general situational awareness Conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, AHJ requirements and company policy Preform pre-operation inspections, lift start-up and shutdown procedures Monitor adverse weather conditions and make appropriate operational decisions Able to safely work at heights >100’ in adverse conditions Proficient with identifying ski lift components and terminology Identify faults on ski lifts and identify simple resolutions Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits using a multimeter Maintain proper housekeeping of all work spaces (terminals, work sites, lift shacks, shop areas etc.) Maintain exterior of ski lift related facilities (painting, carpentry, etc.) Proficient with Aerial Tramway operation while ensuring compliance with ANSI B77.1-2022 Other Expectations: Keep a neat appearance and maintain good personal hygiene Must be dependable and punctual Act in a professional manner at all times Must be able to work long hours, weekends and holidays Ability to learn from others Willingly perform any task outside normal job parameters to help the Arizona Snowbowl meet established goals, standards or timelines Ability to accommodate shifting priorities on short notice Willingness to work at heights greater than 50’ Develop an acute safety conscious mindset Experience Requirements: >1 Year of aerial tramway maintenance experience High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Trade school or equivalent certification (recommended, not required) Experience with the safe and effective use of hand and power tools Valid driver’s license, clean driving record Skills Required: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and coworkers Team player Basic mechanical aptitude Snowmobile/OHV operation Intermediate level or above skier or snowboarder Receptive to criticism from peers Ability to apply good judgment in all situations Ability to follow and comprehend instructions, oral and formal Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift or move heavy objects using appropriate techniques (50+ lbs.) Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in varying/extreme weather conditions Ability to perform demanding physical labor for extended periods Must be able to work at altitude (9300 – 11,500 feet above sea level) Ability to hike to remote locations to access machinery Travel Required: Minimal. 1 – 5 annual out of state trips possible to attend industry conference(s) or company gatherings or assist other areas within the collective with Lift maintenance projects/training.
