Description Maintain lifts according to manufacturer’s recommendations, industry standards and Timberline operational requirements. Consistently maintain efficient operating schedules in cooperation with Lift Operations. Requirements *This is an entry level lift mechanic position ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Participate in daily lift maintenance and operational tasks as assigned by Lift Maintenance Manager, Lead Mechanic, Lift Operations Director or Mountain Manager Maintain knowledge of industry standards; remain current with industry technical developments. Maintain a personal set of hand tools as required on site. Participate in formal and on the job training to gain skills and knowledge needed for advancement to next level Lift Mechanic. Operate snowmobiles, snow-cats, loaders and other equipment as needed. Participate in departmental safety guidelines while maintaining a safe work environment. Display mechanical aptitude. Complete daily lift opening procedures in a timely fashion. Track, document and maintain accountability for work completed on a daily basis. Other functions and duties as assigned by Supervisor and Timberline management. Exercise sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming. Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace. Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present. Present a professional, quality image at all times. Regular and reliable attendance. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have basic mechanical skills or industry training. Must be able to multitask while still remaining detail oriented. Must have good communication skills: oral, written, and reading comprehension. Demonstrate desire to learn required job specific skills. Must have positive work attitude. Must have valid driver's license. Must be Timberline approved driver. Must be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays. Must be available to stay late for project completion and work additional shifts dependent on periodic annual projects. Must be trustworthy and honest. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods. Must be able to operate various motorized vehicles through entire lift system over rough uneven terrain, deep snow and ice. Must be able to climb ladders up to 70 ft. and work for extended periods in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to work in tight spaces. Must be able to shovel all types of snow in all types of weather conditions. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
