UGL is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Lifting & Rigging Coordinator to join our team. Based in Perth, this role is responsible for leading a team dedicated to delivering front-end readiness for Wheatstone projects About Role: This role will see you play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient and successful planning & execution of lifting, rigging and scaffold operations, meeting quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. Highly likely this role will progress into the Lifting & Rigging Lead role for the execution phase. 5:2 Perth Based (Ad hoc site visits may be required) 40 hrs per week with flexible options, including: · Compressed Work Week (CWW) · One day a week Work From Home (WFH) Key Responsibilities: Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices across all operations. Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect rigging, scaffolding, and crane installations and procedures, to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Lift Planning and Execution: Collaborate with teams to develop detailed lift plans and manage safe executions of lifting activities, addressing contingencies as required. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for lifting and associated activities, coordinating with other disciplines to optimize project timelines. Resource Allocation: Efficiently oversee allocation of lifting equipment, materials, personnel, and other resources to ensure operational needs are met. Communication: Maintain clear communication within your teams and liaise with other discipline supervisors and project managers to ensure seamless project progression. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues in lifting, rigging, or scaffolding activities, proactively addressing challenges and ensuring minimal disruption. Documentation: Deliver accurate and thorough documentation of all lifting and associated activities, including reports, progress updates, risk assessments, and compliance records. About you Proven experience working in a similar position Strong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging principles, scaffold procedures and crane safety Exceptional coordination skills, adept at liaising between clients, leadership, external partners, subcontractors, and large teams. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle escalated issues, manage crises, and drive critical decision-making. Skilled at preparing detailed reports, highlighting progress, successes, and areas for improvement for stakeholder and leadership review.
