POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Load Testing Technician/Engineer to conduct load tests for ship-borne and offshore load-lifting equipment, including cranes, winches, gangways, davits, boats, etc. The ideal candidate will have a Grad/Diploma in a related engineering field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specific field of work. Thorough knowledge of regulations and testing methods related to the subject matter is mandatory, and basic know-how of crane and hydraulic equipment operation is an added benefit.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grad/Diploma in a related stream of Engineering
  • 2 or more years of experience in the specific field
  • Thorough knowledge of regulations and testing methods
  • Basic knowledge of crane and hydraulic equipment operation (added benefit)
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Physical fitness and willingness to perform hands-on work

Responsibilities
  • Conduct load testing of shipborne and offshore load-lifting equipment
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment in operational condition
  • Fabricate and assemble supporting material as needed
  • Create and maintain documentation of related projects and HSE activities
  • Guide and train new recruits in the team
  • Assist other departments/teams as required
