David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit a Light Technician for their offices in Bogota, Colombia. Position: Light Technician Location: Bogota, Colombia Employment type: Full-time Remuneration: Base salary DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the setup and operation of technical equipment in continuous or live production environments, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate, monitor, and maintain equipment; support troubleshooting and escalate issues to senior team members when needed. Provide updates to supervisors on daily operations, equipment condition, and any technical concerns. Follow safety standards and industry best practices, ensuring all operations meet compliance requirements. Coordinate with other technical teams to integrate systems and achieve seamless production workflows. Contribute to maintaining accurate logs of equipment use and stay informed on relevant industry trends and emerging technologies. REQUIREMENTS: Fluent in English, with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication Prior experience in technical operations within studio, production, or live event environments. Familiarity with equipment and control systems relevant to the role. Ability to read and follow technical plans or instructions. Understanding of safety standards and operational best practices. Capable of assisting with troubleshooting under pressure in fast-paced, live environments. Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and availability to work varied shifts, including occasional nights and weekends. Familiarity with software tools or systems relevant to technical operations. Technical certification or formal training in a related field (e.g., audiovisuals, electrical, electronics, or production technology).
