Lighting Fixture Technician Application Deadline: 13 February 2026 Department: Assembly Employment Type: Full Time Location: Glen Cove, NY Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 / hour Description Allied Maker is a growing American manufacturer of handcrafted lighting. We are seeking a Lighting Technician to support the hands-on construction of finished lighting fixtures. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that each fixture meets our standards for quality, function, and finish. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, steady, and takes pride in producing physical work correctly. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys focused, hands-on work and understands that consistency and care matter more than speed. Key Responsibilities Fixture Assembly Assemble lighting fixtures from components and sub-assemblies. Install sockets, hardware, shades, and structural elements according to specifications. Perform basic electrical wiring following provided diagrams and instructions. Quality Control Inspect finished fixtures for alignment, function, and finish quality. Identify and flag issues before fixtures move downstream. Maintain accountability for the quality of completed work. Utilize UL conventions to ensure compliance. Shop Organization & Safety Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workstation. Use tools and equipment responsibly and according to shop standards. Follow established processes and safety guidelines. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required Experience Comfort working with tools and small components. Ability to follow written instructions and diagrams. Prior experience in lighting, electrical work, fabrication, or related hands-on fields is a plus but not required. Professional Skills Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
