Summary As a Lighting Quotation Coordinator at CES, you will support the Lighting Quotation Specialist team by assisting with various tasks related to lighting quotations and documentation. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on training and experience to prepare you for a future specialist position. Your responsibilities will include gathering and organizing technical data, assisting in the preparation of quotes, and learning to interpret product specifications and compliance data. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all preliminary information is accurate and complete, setting the stage for precise quotations and effective support to our sales and procurement teams. Essential Job Functions Support the team by gathering and organizing detailed submittal documentation, including technical specifications and manufacturer’s data sheets related to lighting products. Help collect and verify technical and pricing information from vendors and manufacturers to aid in creating comprehensive job package quotes for lighting projects. Gain knowledge of lighting products and quotation processes, providing support to senior team members and learning to handle various aspects of the quoting process. Work closely with Lighting Quotation Specialists to understand project requirements and contribute to the preparation and validation of quotations. Assist in managing customer inquiries and providing preliminary support to ensure their lighting requirements are addressed effectively. Qualifications Education/Experience Enthusiasm for learning about lighting products and quotation processes. Some experience in sales support, inside sales, or a similar role is beneficial but not required. Basic understanding of technical data and specifications related to lighting; willingness to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other computer applications. Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with internal team members. Any prior experience or coursework related to sales support or quoting, especially in lighting, is a plus. Eagerness to develop skills and advance to a Lighting Quotation Specialist role. Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy in gathering and organizing technical data. Basic understanding of lighting products, specifications, and compliance requirements, with eagerness to learn. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to collaborate with team members and other departments. Customer service orientation, responding professionally to inquiries and supporting internal and external stakeholders. Organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Willingness to learn, develop, and advance toward a Lighting Quotation Specialist role. Ability to work under guidance, follow processes, and support senior team members in completing accurate quotations.
