JOB SUMMARY:

Specialist is responsible for the oversight of all LIHTC, HOME, HUD, HPD and Section 8 related matters, ensuring compliance with all Regulatory Agreements and partnership operating agreements. Reporting monthly, quarterly, annual and as needed periodic reports to Funding agencies, NYCHA, HCR, HPD, Tax Credit Syndicators. Responding to all Audit requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Certification in Low Income Housing Tax Credit compliance from an accredited provider such as Quadel
  • At least 3 years’ work experience for developer of affordable housing with specific experience working with Low Income Housing tax Credits (LIHTC) HOME Investment Partnership Program, Section 8, Project- Based.
  • Experience with landlord and tenant disputes, including rent collection
  • Bi-lingual, a plus
  • Excel Spread sheets

Responsibilities
  • Process Initial, annual and interim recertification’s
  • Responsible for completing annual recertification for all tenants in LIHTC and HOME units and ensuring 100% compliance prior to the due dates.
  • Responsible for monthly updates of Rent Roll and Rent Reports.
  • Ensure all Tenant Income Verifications are completed annually and are file accordingly
  • Responsible for collecting rent checks from the consumers, documenting and creating a monthly statement for each client in a shared drive with Finance
  • Communication with HPD and NYCHA for all move outs.
  • Worked with Finance department with all finance related issues for LIHTC and HOME Audits.
  • Maintains all client files with respective document
  • Other duties as assigned.
