A Brief Overview The LIMHP Bridge Care Therapist provides short-term, solution-focused therapy to pediatric patients and families awaiting ongoing outpatient or psychiatric care. This position bridges the gap between referral and long-term treatment, ensuring timely access, stabilization, and continuity of behavioral health services. The therapist collaborates closely with Behavioral Health Intake, Outpatient Therapy, and Psychiatry teams to promote patient safety, support transitions, and reduce wait times. Essential Functions Provide brief, evidence-based therapy (typically 1–8 sessions) focused on stabilization, coping, and connection to ongoing care. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and ensure timely documentation in alignment with clinical and regulatory standards. Ongoing monitoring and updating patient/family safety plans. Coordinate with Intake, Psychiatry, and community partners to ensure warm handoffs and continuity of care. Participate in case consultations, quality improvement, and outcome tracking to strengthen Bridge Care program effectiveness. Support crisis intervention, safety planning, and provider consultation as needed. Education Qualifications Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field Required Experience Qualifications 3 years experience as a licensed mental health practitioner in a child or adolescent environment Required and 3 years providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families Preferred and 1 year in healthcare and/or behavioral health settings Preferred Skills and Abilities Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and brief interventions skills (High proficiency) Excellent communication and collaboration across disciplines (High proficiency) Knowledge of child/adolescent development, trauma, and family systems (High proficiency) Commitment to patient-centered, equitable, and culturally responsive care (High proficiency) Effective organizational and time management skills (Medium proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner Upon Hire Required Children’s is the very best for kids and the very best for your career!
