Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and small group (2-3 students) support to students that are referred by LINC instructors in levels Literacy – CLB 1 to learn the English alphabet, improve writing, penmanship, reading and pronunciation skills
Provide one-on-one and small group digital literacy support to newcomer students in levels Literacy to CLB 2 to support them to use the basic technology tools for class participation (email, online meeting technology such as Zoom, file creation and saving, using Avenue.ca etc.) more quickly
Provide language training and support to individual students with developmental and learning disabilities
Help instructor in creating a conducive learning environment in the classroom by working with students that need extra support
Preparing learning materials for students who require extra support
In consultation with the instructor, design lessons plan for students with special needs
Participate in professional development sessions and actively utilize information to enhance personal teaching skills
Participate in agency events and staff meetingsProvide
