The Bookcafe Ltd is an award winning independent business born in the year 2000 & has been trading from 21 Cornmarket since 2009 where we were involved in the restoration of a beautiful Grade 2 listed building.
In June 2019 we opened our second unit in Belper in another unique listed building, The Orangery, Chapel St.
We are one of the longest established independent cafes in Derbyshire & have achieved finalist and winner of Best Café in the Marketing Derby’s Food & Drink Awards several times.
We offer the same quirky, friendly environment in both cafe’s & promise a relaxing & inspiring setting for our customers whether they visit alone or with a group of friends & family.
Great coffee, drinks & food are our passion; whatever time of day you visit you’ll find freshly made & quite often locally sourced dishes on our menus.
Applications are invited from chefs, bakers & food creators. We’re looking for a line chef that can operate in a busy service & prep environment. We serve breakfast & brunch all day alongside our lunch menu. Our cakes & scones are all made in house too.
What we can offer you:
All daytime hours, no evening shifts but must include weekends.
Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year’s Day off.
