Description The Carillon at Belleview Station, one of Denver's premier retirement communities, is seeking a line cook to work in our on-site from scratch kitchens. You will be responsible for prepping and cooking made to order meals for residents and guests. We are looking for someone to be part of a dynamic culinary team and play a critical role in helping us take our culinary program to the next level. This is a full time position, working five days a week 11am to 7:30pm, must have one weekend shift available. Benefits: 3 weeks of paid time off a year Medical insurance including vision and dental 100% employer paid life and long-term disability insurance Accident and short-term disability insurance 401(k) with employer match Sunny Day emergency savings account with employer match Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare all food according to the menu under the direction of the Executive Chef Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to standardized recipes Communicates frequently and professionally with other line cooks, chef, managers, and front of house team members Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated Qualifications: Prior kitchen experience Requires knowledge of special diets Current ServSafe certification preferred Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed Pay: $22.00-23.00 an hour, based on experience
Responsibilities
Prepare made-to-order meals for residents and guests under the direction of the Executive Chef. Ensure proper food preparation, portioning, and serving according to standardized recipes.
