LINE COOK — Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio (False Creek)

Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio (False Creek location) is currently looking for Line Cooks. The ideal candidate will excel as a team player and will work well under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. He or she will have the opportunity to learn from a Top Chef and work with exceptional seasonal products. You will offer a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Line Cook.

In this position, you will:

• Ensure consistent food preparation and presentation of the highest caliber
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper storage, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention
• Maintain a clean and organized station in line with health and safety standards

Qualifications:

• 2 years' similar or transferable experience
• A strong cooking foundation is an asset
• FOODSAFE Level 1 certification — mandatory
• FOODSAFE Level 2 — an asset
• Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure
• Possess articulate communication skills required to interact effectively with the team
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Must be honest, trustworthy and reliable
• Must have a passion for food and the hospitality industry
