Brambles Bistro is Robin Hoods Bay’s No.1 rated Bistro. We’re a cosy & casual, fast-paced environment, serving brunch, hot sandwiches, fish & chips, burgers and chargrilled steaks.
We’re looking for a Line Cook/CDP/Kitchen Assistant or Cook with ideally at least some experience to join our team at Brambles Bistro, located in beautiful Robin Hoods’ Bay - we’re a cosy steakhouse, serving brunch, hot sandwiches, burgers and steaks - you’ll work alongside the owners, who are the Head Chef and Front of House Manager, and with our small team, on a 2-3 person line, to present great food, following our specs.

You’ll be responsible for preparing meals alongside our existing team - you’ll need to be able to work efficiently, follow our recipes, and be tidy - and have a good understanding of food safety. We provide full menu and safety training - as long as you’ve worked in a kitchen before, we can train you on the rest!

Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping fruit and vegetables, preparing meat, and making dressings to our recipes.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and maintain workstations and equipment
Experience:
- Some experience as a Line Cook, commis, Kitchen Assistant, pub chef, grill chef, or similar, or relevant role in any restaurant, cafe, or kitchen setting
- Ideally have worked on a chargrill or with steaks, but this is not required
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £14.50-£17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
