Description The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining Brickstone Brewhouse’s standards for taste, presentation, and cleanliness. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a passion for crafting exceptional dishes to complement Brickstone’s elevated tavern experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all dishes are presented with consistency and attention to detail. Monitor food quality and freshness, making adjustments as needed. Station Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station during service. Set up and break down your station before and after shifts, ensuring readiness for the next service. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service, particularly during high-volume periods. Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef regarding inventory, preparation needs, and any issues. Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including regular deep cleaning tasks. Requirements Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2-3 years of experience in a casual or fine dinning establishment. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a high-volume or upscale casual restaurant. ServSafe or equivalent certification. Physical Demands: Frequently stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring stooping or reaching. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat environment for extended periods. Key Attributes: Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Team-oriented with excellent communication skills. Passion for cooking and delivering a consistent guest experience.
