FULL-TIME LINE COOK - CAPOCACCIA TRATTORIA

Capocaccia Trattoria is seeking an experienced and responsible Line Cook to join our team. We’re looking for a dedicated professional with a passion for Italian cuisine who can work independently in our exciting open kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of cooking experience, with at least 2 years in a casual to fine dining environment.
  • A good knowledge of Italian cuisine and techniques is preferred.
  • Strong knife skills and the ability to use small tools and utensils adeptly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler, or equivalent certification is required.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • A culinary arts degree or diploma is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for transforming high-quality ingredients into authentic Italian dishes. You’ll prepare, cook, and plate food during busy service hours while maintaining our high standards for quality and presentation. This is a full-time, permanent position, and you will report directly to the Chef de Cuisine.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Prepare various food items using a range of cooking methods and kitchen equipment.
  • Follow recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards meticulously.
  • Operate unsupervised during busy service, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Ensure compliance with all Department of Health regulations and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef.
