THE OPPORTUNITY
At Cibo Trattoria, located in the Moda Hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver’s arts and cultural district, every dish centers on the use of fresh, natural, and unique ingredients from the finest local and Italian suppliers. Most importantly, Cibo’s dishes possess a subtle myriad of pleasing flavours and textures, with a simple combination of colour and plating that yield the ultimate in rustic, Italian cuisine.
Cibo Trattoria is currently seeking a reliable, passionate Line Cook to join our impressive BOH team. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for hospitality and upscale service.
· Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked.
· Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
· Report to the Head Chef and follow instructions accordingly.
· Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
· Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
· Stock inventory and supplies.
· Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
Reponsible for the preparation of hot and cold dishes, cooking pasta, proteins, etc.
Work with chef and kitchen staff in executing dishes, sanitation, etc.
