We are currently seeking a line cook to contribute to the success and operation of the Island View Restaurant and Cornwall’s Pub.
Rockport, Ontario is a quaint village located in heart of the 1000 Islands, an internationally known tourism destination, offering seasonal sightseeing boat tours, waterfront dining and accommodations on the St. Lawrence River. The 1000 Islands region is also home to the famous Boldt Castle on Heart Island.
Our location provides the most unique and scenic backdrop highly sought by both tourists and residents. Along with being the leading cruise operator in the 1000 islands Rockport Boat Line operate three distinct restaurants on the river’s edge. These include Cornwall’s Pub, the Boathouse, and Island View restaurant. All three restaurants provide a pleasurable dining experience within different segments of food and beverage and hospitality.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a line cook you will be responsible for ensuring the standard of food quality is consistent within expectations. You will be creating dishes with efficiency and ensuring the final product is coming out of the kitchen in a timely fashion. You will have the skills and experience to contribute to the success of the menu and the guest experience while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. You must be highly energetic with attention to detail while maintaining the highest quality of food to our customers.
The successful candidate must be attentive, reliable and focused on creating an enjoyable atmosphere in a fast-paced, fun environment with a willingness to learn.
