Description
Creative Doning Services is growing and looking for a Line Cook to join our team at Ent Credit Union in Colorado Springs, CO! The Line Worker is responsible primarily for the distribution of food items to customers in a cafeteria setting. Provide fast, efficient service to all customers. Follow procedures and policies outlined by the company, such as portion control and plating procedures, while displaying a friendly and helpful attitude to all customers and fellow employees. Core Responsibilities: * Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal * Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production * Maintain established logs (food temperatures, cooling temperatures, cooler & freezer temperatures, etc.) * Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning; report any discrepancies to supervisor immediately * If work shift requires, properly open and/or close the kitchen – unlocking/locking doors & secured areas, and turning on/turning off of all equipment essential to the operation * Hold prepared food items at appropriate temperatures (below 40° if cold, above 135° if hot) * Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating * Communicate needs and concerns regarding food production and kitchen operation to supervisor appropriately, and in a timely manner. Experience:  * High School diploma or equivalent required * Minimum of 2 years cooking experience Physical Demands/Environment: * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds  * Environment may include hot, humid or cold conditions.
