POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to prepare and present high-quality dishes. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that every plate leaving our kitchen meets the highest standards of taste and presentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar position
• Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Able to spend 100% of the time standing
• Must be fluent in English or French and 18 years or older
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Positive and collaborative team player attitude
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, overnight hours, and holidays
• Must have a valid Canadian working visa

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes according to recipe book and pictures
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following sanitation, food safety, hygiene, and other health and safety guidelines
• Check the quality of ingredients
• Train any second cook within the section
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required
