Description
The Line Cook works efficiently, safely and quickly producing high-quality food and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Line Cook maintains a safe and clean work environment. * Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. * Prepares quality food according to standardized recipes. * Maintains a clean, safe facility that fall in line with local Health Department Regulations. * Adheres to portions and preparation guidelines for cost effectiveness. * Reviews and adheres to schedule. * Takes care of guests needs and food orders/specifications with immediacy and accuracy. * Ensures compliance with Health Department codes and regulations. Qualifications * High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience cooking in a restaurant environment preferred. * Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire. * Strong organizational skills. * Ability to work in a scratch kitchen. * Strong verbal communication skills, and customer service-related skills. * Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public. * Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings. * Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization. * Ability to work cooperatively with others. * Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative. * Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
