Tucker’s in Newington is looking for Full Time Line Cooks. Weekends are a must! Tucker's offers an amazing work environment, a great schedule (out by 3:00pm daily) and free food while you're working! All Newington team members will complete their training at some point during October. Our Dover location will be closed for renovations for the month of October. During this time, we will open the Newington location (on September 30th) with the Dover team. The Dover team will train the Newington team. After renovations are completed in Dover (tentatively 11/1), the Newington team will start their regular scheduled shifts in Newington.  Line Cooks will have the ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure. Possess a strong knowledge of professional cooking practice, including handling knifes and ensuring safety of food, team members, and customers. He/she must have a strong knowledge of recipes to be able to prepare varieties of food using different methods. Possess knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and processes relating to food preparation and safety. The line cook must be able to pass ideas and information clearly to colleagues, food servers, customers, and management without being misunderstood.  The cook must be able to analyze several contending options in the course of work and make the best decision as quickly as possible.
Responsibilities
Line Cooks will work in a fast-paced environment and prepare a variety of food using different methods. They must ensure the safety of food, team members, and customers while effectively communicating with colleagues and management.
