Description The Gardens on Quail Retirement community is looking for Line Cook to join our team! This beautiful community is located in Arvada Colorado and offers independent living, assisted living and memory care to seniors. You will have the opportunity to be part of the team that is creating an extraordinary senior living experience for those that call Gardens on Quail home. Schedule: Looking for someone who is available with a flexible schedule to pick up shifts when cooks are on vacation, and must be available Friday and Saturday 11am-7pm when position is open. Can pick up additional hours as a server if needed as well. We are currently seeking an experienced energetic, highly motivated, and passionate Sous Chef/Line Cook to work with our team of experienced culinary experts. Under the direction of our Executive Chef you will work with a team who generates over 10,000 incredible meals a month. We cook and bake most items from scratch. Creative culinary passion is a must. Are you the right person? If so, your qualifications should include: - Graduation from an accredited culinary school or equivalent experience; - The ability to quickly solve problems in a fast-paced environment; - Experience in a fast-paced large kitchen with multiple cooks working together; - Work well within a team; - Strong oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal communication abilities; - Available most shifts, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility for all shifts as needed - The desire and ability to have fun at work. Applicant requirements include good customer service skills, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Must pass a criminal background check, must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to fifty pounds as needed and have a schedule open to working when the job requires.
