JOB TITLE: Line Cook (Must be 18 years of age or older) DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager SALARY: Grade 6                Range Start: $18.95/hourly                Range End: $28.43/hourly CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt SUPERVISES: None                                                      JOB SUMMARY: This team member prepares food items as ordered by guests and expedites tickets to ensure fast service and quality food products    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES    The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:     1. Cuts and prepares vegetables, fruits, meats, soups, sauces, and desserts by following recipes and picture presentations of menu items 2. Works sauté, broiler, fryer, pizza ovens, and pantry stations 3. Expedites the line by accurately reading and calling tickets 4. Controls portion sizes of meats, salads, entrees, seafood, and appetizers, as well as preparing food daily to meet pars 5. Organizes cooks line, which includes shelves, freezers, and reach-in refrigerators 6. Alerts Food and Beverage Manager to potential food hazards, food spoilage, and preventable waste 7. Ensures that foods are held, reheated, and frozen at correct temperatures 8. Marks, dates, covers, and rotates all perishable and non-perishable foods using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method 9. Cleans and sanitizes workstations according to cleaning schedules 10. Adheres to opening and closing policies and procedures 11. Prepares menu items following quality and presentation standards set forth by the Food and Beverage Manager  12. Prepares food and non-alcoholic beverage orders according to recipes and specifications 13. Cooks meat, seafood, and poultry to desired temperatures  14. Re-stocks menu items throughout shift according to assigned pars 15. Assists in the preparation of food items for other food and beverage outlets 16. Transfer supplies from storage to work areas 17. Keeps storage areas clean at all times 18. Maintains workstation with cleanliness and sanitation being a priority 19. Operates point-of-sale system and makes correct change for the guests 20. Knows menu items and prices 21. Abides by all applicable liquor regulations and Resort & Casino policies and procedures pertaining to alcoholic beverages  22. Maintains cash Bank provided by Cage in accordance with policies and procedures 23. Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino 24. Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program 25.
