Their passion for food and cooking is infectious and they have a desire to serve the best every time. Cleanliness is maintained throughout service and they gladly honour guest special requests. The Day to Day: Execute daily food preparation and cooking tasks as directed by the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or General Manager Cook and assemble dishes to exact recipe and presentation standards, ensuring quality and consistency throughout service Maintain a clean and organized station with a current prep list and proper stock of ingredients Follow portion control guidelines and plating specifications with precision Uphold freshness by practicing proper food rotation (FIFO) and labeling Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries to maintain food safety standards Support kitchen inventory control by properly using and storing products Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of prep areas, equipment, and tools according to health and safety guidelines Adhere strictly to WHMIS and MSDS regulations and all workplace safety protocols Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient service — especially during high-volume periods Take pride in the craft of cooking and contribute positively to the kitchen culture Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or similar culinary environment Culinary diploma or equivalent experience is an asset Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain attention to detail Excellent time management and organizational skills Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn Able to take direction and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Legally eligible to work in Canada Additional Information Oliver & Bonacini's Diversity Commitment At Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality, we are committed to treating every employee with dignity and respect.
