In this role, you will work on the line in our cafe kitchen, executing dishes to spec, and working with a dedicated team that values craft, consistency, and community. Wage: $18.00–$22.50/hour + tips (average total with tips: $22.50 – $27.50 + per hour) Location: Rhinebeck, NY Schedule: : Full-time: weekend availability required. Mid and closing shifts (shifts are typically: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 9:00 am -5:30 pm) At Bread Alone, our cafés are lively spaces where community matters and good food brings people together. We’re looking for a dedicated line cook to join our Rhinebeck team and help nourish our community through simple, wholesome meals. Requirements Requirements What makes a great line cook You care about quality, consistency, and doing things the right way You thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay steady when things get busy You are dependable, punctual, and take pride in your work You bring a positive attitude and work well with a team You are eager to learn new skills and techniques and to grow in your role What you’ll do Work the cafe line preparing breakfast and lunch menu items to spec Stock, prep, and maintain your station with attention to FIFO rotation and cleanliness Cook and compose dishes, including plating and garnishing, with consistency and attention to detail Maintain a complete working knowledge of recipes, techniques, and equipment Move seamlessly between stations, supporting teammates as needed Practice the highest standards of food safety and sanitation What we are looking for Prior kitchen or food service experience is helpful, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important Comfortable working in a physical environment (standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, working in hot conditions) Clear communication skills and ability to work well with a team Flexibility to work a consistent seasonal schedule, including weekends and holidays Respect for food safety and cleanliness standards (personal hygiene, no jewelry or false nails, minimal makeup or fragrance) Commitment to building a workplace community that values diversity, inclusion, and shared growth Perks & Benefits Competitive Pay: $18.00–$22.50/hour + tips (average total with tips: $22.50 – $27.50 + per hour).
