Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled BBQ Cook and Cold Station Prep Person to join our private yacht club. In this dual role, you will be responsible for creating exceptional breakfast dishes and handling cold station preparation. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talent and contribute to the outstanding dining experiences we offer to our discerning yacht club members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
BBQ Cook:
· Preheat the grill: Ensure that your grill is preheated to the appropriate temperature before placing the meat on it. This will help sear the meat and lock in the juices. The ideal temperature varies depending on the type of meat you’re cooking.
· Time Management: Efficiently manage BBQ service, ensuring prompt delivery of freshly prepared dishes while maintaining consistency and quality.
· Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene protocols, maintaining a clean and organized breakfast station at all times.
Cold Station Prep:
· Prep and Organization: Prepare and assemble cold appetizers, salads, and other cold dishes according to established recipes and specifications along with the use of a deep fryer and pizza station.
· Ingredient Management: Ensure all cold station ingredients are properly stocked, labeled, and stored, maintaining inventory levels and freshness.
· Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and presentation, ensuring that all cold dishes are visually appealing and prepared to perfection.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to coordinate cold station preparation and communicate any special requests or menu changes.
Requirements:
· Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as a Breakfast Cook and in cold station preparation, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting. Possess in-depth knowledge of breakfast cuisine and cold food preparation techniques.
· Attention to Detail: Exhibit exceptional attention to detail in food preparation, plating, and garnishing, ensuring dishes meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
· Time Management: Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to meet breakfast service demands and cold station preparation requirements.
· Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
· Team Player Mentality: Collaborate effectively with the culinary team, displaying excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
