PURPOSE The Line Cook Hawks Peak is responsible for creating and delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing high-quality food in alignment with Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel’s elevated service standards. This role focuses on maintaining a clean, organized kitchen, following strict food safety protocols, and delivering consistent, high-quality dishes to guests in a timely and professional manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Food Preparation & Quality Control: Prepare and cook food items to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality, ensuring all orders are timely and correctly executed. Maintain quality, quantity, and timeliness of food production, ensuring consistency in every dish prepared. Collaboration & Communication: Communicate efficiently with kitchen staff, management, and fellow team members to ensure smooth operations during service. Food Safety & Sanitation: Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper food storage, rotation, spoilage management, and the prevention of cross-contamination. Ensure kitchen areas are kept clean and organized at all times, adhering to all health department regulations. Recipe & Presentation Adherence: Follow recipes, cooking times, and temperatures to ensure the production of high-quality and consistent dishes. Present plates with attention to detail, including portioning, garnishing, and adherence to recipe standards. Regulatory Compliance: Conform to all relevant health and safety regulations, including compliance with the Washington State Department of Health standards. Adhere to Snoqualmie Casino policies, including those related to safety, sanitation, and operational procedures. Additional Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining a fully stocked and organized kitchen. Take on additional tasks or duties as directed by the Sous Chef, Chef De Cuisine or Manager. Requirements REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: None Skills and Abilities: Strong command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of food preparation under pressure. Proven working knowledge of kitchen design and the operation of grills, roast-and-hold ovens, conventional and convection ovens, fryers, etc. PREFERRED Education and Experience: High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD). One (1) year of QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) cooking experience or comparable. Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
