Line Cooks: Broiler and Sauté Starting At $18.00hr.- $28.00 hr. (Depending on Experience) Located in Santa Nella, California right off I-5, Hotel Mission De Oro is at the heart of a peaceful and beautiful Northern California locale. The Kitchen at The Mission offers a fine dining experience in a casual and family-friendly environment. Highlighting this ideal location in the heart of California, our chefs curate our menu to make best use of locally grown ingredients. The weekly featured entrees and extensive wine list make each visit to our restaurant and lounge feel one-of-a-kind. Job Description We would like to meet a top-notch line cook who is looking to break into a high-end food and beverage environment. Preferably line cooks with experience in a high-volume restaurant setting, and upper scale restaurant. Full time colleagues are eligible for medical insurance, dental, vision, 401K, and vacation. Your Mission is to provide a world-class dining experience for our guests by ensuring efficient and professional operations with an eye to the small details. Other responsibilities include: Portion, cut, slice, dip, batter, whip, beat, maintain holding temperature, fry and sauté Select cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéing Plate menu items along with appropriate garnish Follow recipes and comply with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and Department of Health regulations Memorize and utilize all portion sizes and meal prep procedures, and consistently execute them Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by The Kitchen Perform other duties as required or assigned Essential Job Functions: 2 years previous kitchen experience desired A dedication to food quality with high standards for one’s performance An orientation toward Self-Management Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours a more a day Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis Maintain a safe and sanitary work area Must be able to multitask including grilling, sautéing, pizza ovens and salad station
