LINE COOK

Ironwood Country Club is seeking qualified line cooks working a full-time, seasonal position. $22-$25 per hour based on experience.
Must have experience working the broiler and sauté stations as well as experience working banquet events. Proficient in butchery of basic meats, fish and poultry. Proficient in basic sauce production such as demi glaze, beurre blanc, tomato sauce, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the preparation and cooking of hot and cold foods on the line that he/she is assigned to. Organizes and maintains the line for a la carte service, banquets and special events. This team member needs to be present at all times in a professional manner and is always friendly with co-workers and club members. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand for extended periods 8+ hours
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as required by kitchen operations

We are looking for experienced Staff Members. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where you should be able to multi-task and think on your feet. You should have good communication skills and be able to keep calm under pressure. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and is able to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

Gathers all supplies and smallwares needed to prepare food items for à la carte service
Prepares all food from the a la carte menu using standard recipes in accordance with club standards. Has consistency in plate presentation and executes tickets in a timely fashion.
Maintains adequate par stock of food items/ingredients for production purposes, being conscious at all times of proper food handling procedures to prevent minimal waste.
Checks supplies needed for a la carte service. Sets up, maintains, and breaks down cook station. Notifies Sous Chef and Executive Chef in advance of expected shortages.
Maintains a neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times.
Adheres to local and state health safety standards. Must have a Riverside County Food Handlers Card and maintains the highest sanitary standards at all times. Ensures that work area and equipment (i.e. Slicer, mixer, grill, broiler, table tops, etc.) are clean and sanitary.
Covers, dates and neatly stores all prepared items and all re-usable leftover products.
Assists with other duties as instructed by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
