KITCHEN STAFF

Lisse Steakhuis is a Dutch inspired steakhouse in the heart of Covington’s Mainstrasse Village. We are currently looking to hire talents cooks to join our kitchen staff. Full Time or Part time availability.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Culinary school 2-4 year degree or foreign equivalency preferred.
  • Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.
  • Ability to work weekend’s and evenings is a must
  • Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation.
  • Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practices
  • Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Very good communication skills
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job including, lift and carry up to 30 pounds, frequent standing, stooping, squatting, twisting, and moving, ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to pass a food service sanitation course
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow recipes
    Lisse Steakhuis serves mostly New American cuisine with beautiful Dutch accents. We are proudly located in the beautiful and historical MainStrasse Village of Covington, Kentucky. Lisse is a fine dining steakhouse with an extensive wine list and a sophisticated menu of signature cocktails to serve guests in our dining room, private event lounge, and rooftop lounge.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation workstations
  • Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
  • Follow all food health and safety requirements
  • Assist with the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage
  • Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors
  • Interact with customers as needed
  • Come to work in proper uniform - chef coat, pants, nonslip shoes
