As Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, our culinary team sets the tone for guest experiences through quality, consistency, and craft. We are currently seeking passionate and dependable Line Cooks who take pride in delivering memorable food and supporting a professional culinary operation. About the Role As a Line Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to resort standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. You’ll work closely with fellow cooks, chefs, and stewards to deliver timely, high-quality dishes during service. You’ll be part of a diverse, multicultural culinary team where communication, collaboration, and respect are essential. Qualifications What We’re Looking For • Experience: 1+ year as a line cook or in a related culinary role preferred but not required • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required • Skills: Knife skills, portion control, basic cooking techniques, and food preparation knowledge • Safety & Sanitation: Knowledge of safe food handling practices and kitchen safety standards • Professional Traits: Reliable, organized, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment • Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment with respect and professionalism • Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island seasonally What We Offer We value the team members who keep our resort running at its best.
