We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Overnight Cook to join our resort kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, late-night environment and takes pride in crafting high-quality meals. The Overnight Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for guests and staff during the night shift, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of culinary experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
  • Formal culinary training or certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (Food Handler Certification preferred).
  • Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and deliver consistent quality.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a small overnight team.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes for overnight service (room service, staff meals, etc.).
  • Ensure quality and consistency in every plate, following resort recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas during the overnight shift.
  • Monitor and record food temperatures, equipment status, and sanitation logs.
  • Handle food prep for the following day to support the morning kitchen staff.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain proper food handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef or Executive Chef for inventory and stock rotation.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while upholding resort culinary standards.
