JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role starts as part-time, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within the food industry is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation is highly valued.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations throughout the shift.
  • Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
  • Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
